Just after Passover, Jewish people begin to count the 'Omer'. An omer is a sheaf, or bundle of grain. We count seven weeks and then the next day we celebrate Shavuot (Pentecost). It seems that it was the first day of the counting of the Omer that Yeshua rose from the dead and breathed new life into his disciples. And on the last day, Shavuot, the Holy Spirit was poured out and the good news went forth in power! Let's believe for that type of outpouring in Israel again!
