Here are some of the recent sermons available to view online as streaming video:
We have produced a short video concerning the recent terrorist attack at the Rav Kook Yeshiva in Jerusalem. Last week a Arab man from East Jerusalem opened fire on unarmed, innocent students, killing eight. It ended when an off duty Israeli commando ran into the building without the protection of a bulletproof vest and against the pleas of the police, and killed the terrorist.
This young Arab man did not come from the Palestinian territories of Gaza or the West Bank, but from Jerusalem. For many years now, Israeli Arabs have, for the most part, been very happy to live in the freest country in the Middle East. But this new twist will cause Israel to think long and hard about securing herself from even the Arabs within.
While East Jerusalem Arabs are not like the rest of Israeli Arabs in that they have lived in the State since 1948, they do carried blue identity cards like Israelis and have rights as citizens. However from 1948-1967 they lived under Jordanian rule until Israel captured Jerusalem in the Six Day War. Israel annexed East Jerusalem making it a part of Israel (unlike Gaza and West Bank which are still classified as “the territories”.
Pray with us for the peace of Jerusalem and for righteousness to reign.
