Something very special is happening at the end of 2008.  On Wednesday, December 31 we’re going to celebrate what God has done for us since King of Kings Community was born 25 years ago.

We’re delighted that Jim and Kathy Cantelon will be with us. More than a quarter of a century ago this courageous and gifted couple received the call to Israel, and soon after invited Ann and myself to join them in pioneering this ministry in Jerusalem.

Jim and Kathy returned to Canada in 1988 where they became involved in TV ministry.  Later the Lord gave them a vision to “equip and empower the Church to be the hands and feet of Christ as they minister to the orphans and widows devastated by HIV/AIDS.”

They will tell the story how God opened miraculous doors in Israel and enabled them to lay a foundation for the ministry of “King of Kings.”

Other key leaders who played a significant role over our 25 years will also celebrate with us. We want to take this golden opportunity to “show honor where honor is due.” (Romans 13:7). Many of these leaders went out from King of Kings to establish congregations and outreaches in Israel and beyond.

We’re really excited that Robert Stearns is coming to celebrate with us! Robert was part of King of Kings in the early days. Since that time we’ve watched with amazement how God has used him to raise up worshipers and watchmen with a heart for Israel.  Robert will share in music and the word.
