Praise & Prayer Directives - July / August 2011

Then he dreamed and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.  And behold, the LORD stood above it and said: “I am the LORD God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.  Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.  Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.  Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.”  And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”

Genesis 28:12-17

1. Praise and thanks to our King for speaking His word and empowering us to live it.
   • Pray that our congregation would be encouraged in sharing the testimony of what God has done in our lives to those prepared by God's Spirit to hear.
   • Pray we would receive eyes that see the crowds as a harvest of individuals the Lord desires as His treasured inheritance.
   • Pray for the welfare of the sovereign State of Israel and the Jewish people that the Lord promises to return to His land.
   • Praise God for the praise and worship prayer sets in Hebrew and English on Mondays, Thursdays, and Friday afternoons in the Jerusalem Prayer Tower that have been so good with Israeli believers coming and worshiping --- pray for more to come and take their place on Jerusalem's walls with praise, worship and intercession.
   • Pray for God to empower and sustain those he sends to the Prayer Tower especially during these summer months when many are away.
   • Praise to the LORD for an overwhelming response to the Dor v' Dor (Generation to Generation) concert of worship in Hebrew and for its CD to be produced in time for the Feast of Tabernacles.
   • Pray for additional musical personnel and the visa needs of those serving in our praise and worship teams.
   • Praise God for strengthening the ministry to children and teenagers by the recent appointment of Sarah Gandy, new to our team.
   • Pray for a growing understanding of how we can support the "one new man" relationships (Jew and Gentile together) the LORD is establishing in our midst.
2. Praise reports and prayer requests from Yuval Messianic School of Music and the Arts. www.yuvalart.org
   • Thank God for a wonderful year where Yuval's school could serve more than 150 students, 20 teachers and many people in the body of Yeshua. It was a blessed year full of God's goodness!
   • We thank the Lord for a unique year-end recital in the beginning of June where we could see how the students developed their talents and could work together, performing as a team.
   • We give thanks to God for providing for us a facility to use, salaries to pay the teachers this year and support to continue on in the year to come.
   • There is an ongoing need to help financing the salaries of Yuval staff members. We trust the Lord to provide so we can pay the teachers on time.
   • There are families who need help with paying for the different classes during the year. Please pray that we would have the support needed to offer scholarships to good students who have financial difficulties.
   • Lenga, one of Yuval's teachers, is in the hospital with her son who has been diagnosed with cancer. May God heal him completely and give Lenga and the family strength and peace during these difficult months of treatment.
3. Praise God for our second annual 9-day Intensive Media Training Course finished June 30th equipping new leaders with the tools of media.
   • Pray for our directors and students of the Kings Media School for an increase of strength and opportunities for growth following this semester's finale.
   • Pray the Lord will continue to provide our directors with all that is needed to further develop their vision for the Media School.
   • Praise God for the first class of KSM who graduated June 15! We're now ready to see what God will be doing in them and through them. Praise Him for His faithfulness.
   • Pray for future students the LORD is calling here and the fall semester beginning Aug 1-- for God to raise up more students, and prepare them for the materials they will be learning.
   • Ask God to reveal fresh vision and His calling into the students lives as well as increased discipline, commitment, and focus toward His desires in their hearts.
4. Children's Ministry at KKCJ
   • Praise God for the opportunity to do some refurbishment of the nursery in order to better serve the parents and little ones who use that facility.
   • Praise God for the opportunity to begin a Josiah prayer watch interceding for the children and youth of Jerusalem in the Prayer Tower, Thursdays 10AM.
   • Please pray for protection for families and continued growth of the children's relationships with the Lord over the summer while many of them are traveling, and for the raising up of more God appointed leaders and helpers for all the age groups.

Be encouraged, for we have this treasure of the knowledge of God shining in our hearts as earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. II Cor. 4:7-10.
