Jurgen Buhler

After graduating from Ulm University with a degree in physics, Dr. Jürgen Bühler moved to Israel with his wife in 1994. Following a five-year research project at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot he obtained his doctorate in chemistry.

Jürgen joined the staff of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem in 1999 and presently serves on its Board as the ministry’s International Director. Since 2001 he has also been National Director for ICEJ Germany, a position that he still holds.

A board member of the Brussels-based Christian lobby group - the European Coalition for Israel - Jürgen is also a founding member of the “Christliches Forum für Israel” (Christian Forum for Israel), a German umbrella group of Christian Zionist organizations.

In addition to his other responsibilities, Jürgen has remained an active member of the King of Kings Assembly in Jerusalem, and has served on the congregation’s board since 1994. His grasp of biblical theology and his unique insight into issues relating to Israel, Europe and the institutions of the European Union have placed him in great demand as a speaker all over the world.

He and his wife Vesna live in Jerusalem and have three young sons.
