Short Nigeria Report: Blind See, Lame Walk!!!

Dear Friends,

I just arrived back in Lagos after several days in Mubi, Nigeria. Slow internet here, so I will be brief. I just wanted to send you a short update as I know that many of you have been praying for me on this trip.

It was just like the New Testament. Crowds pressed in. The Gospel was preached. The blind saw and the lame walked. I saw a young girl blind from birth receive her sight. I saw a woman who had not walked in years running around. More importantly, I witnessed the gospel being preached to an estimated crowd of 450,000 of the most spiritually hungry people you have ever seen. Only God knows exactly how many responded and were genuinely transformed by the power of the gospel, but that didn’t stop the campaign from seeking to find out. 51% of the budget is spent on finding the people, following them up and getting them discipled in local congregations.

We have invitations to return and preach the gospel to those who have never heard it. We must pray and get God’s heart on this, but the fields here in Nigeria are WHITE UNTO HARVEST!!!

I flew in this morning from Mubi and I have a day in Lagos before my plane leaves. While I can’t wait to see Elana and the girls, I am grateful for a little time to process all that I have seen and heard. Let me say it again. It was just like the New Testament. Read Matthew 9 to get an idea.

Let me close by saying that Reinhard Bonke and his team were amazingly hospitable. They treated me with far more respect than I deserved. Reinhard is a humble and passionate man who took every opportunity to encourage me in the gospel. I learned quite a bit about frontier evangelism from listening to and watching him. Furthermore, I was so proud to see Daniel Kolenda, a young man I had the privilege of teaching in Pensacola, proclaim Jesus to nearly a half a million people with the grace of someone who has been doing it a lifetime.
More later…much, much more…pictures and video that will blow you away!!!

More than ever, committed to the Messiah’s Mandate,

Ron Cantor

Thank you Ron for sharing with us on the events at Mubi, North East, Nigeria. I am a Nigerian presently working for an International NGO in Rwanda. It is true there are fields in Nigeria but how ‘green’ are these fields?
I am aware that many of these folks out there want miracles and are not willing to commit their time to the Lord. This may be related to poverty of knowledge; thus they appear like the those who heard the word and ...thorns and thistles choked on it..Re: Parable of the Sower.
There has been numerous efforts by Men of God to draw them unto God with a committed relationship.  They usually agree to altar calls and thereafter return to their ways. Either out of fear of letting go the “Islamic religion” or fear of persecution or inability to understand the message of the Cross.
The events in Jos-Plateau State Central Nigeria where political anger is turned to the church better explains it all.
However, let us keep praying for the elect among them that they may keep the gosel in the hearts of the new believers.
As Paul said, “I planted and Apollos waters..”
I believe that the Lord will deliver the land from all satanic holds.
    Thanks again

NB: I spent a year in Israel during my post graduate at the Hebrew University and my faith was strengthened through fellowship at the Pavilion. May Jehovah Ropheka show His Almighty nature in the life of Pastor Wayne. I was excited to see him on the God TV project last year December.

    Baruch Atta Adonai!

    Shalom.

Thank you Pastor Ron and (Big shalom! to Pastor Wayne)and Evang. Reinhard Bonke and to all your blessed team.Praise God for this awsome mission to Nigeria.Halleluyia!...Out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem… So shall my word (Yeshua)be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 2 v 3c… 55 v 11. God is so faithful to take care of our loved ones in Africa by sending His servants(saints)there; truely it’s so good when we seek His kingdom first; His will and purpose for Israel, the coming of the King of Kings to this area of the world - Jerusalem - to establish His Kingdom on earth.
