Kings School of Media just won Best Documentary at the 168 Film Festival in Los Angeles for their film entitled Victory in Christ!
We recently welcomed a group of nine, incredible friends from The Life Church in Memphis, Tennessee to Jerusalem! The group was here in Israel for only one week, but spent time helping us with jobs around the facilities, what a blessing!
The Manna Kitchen, our new "soup kitchen" serving hot meals to those in need, is open and welcoming many each week! Our honored guests receive a full, hot meal, side salads, bread and dessert. Currently the Manna Kitchen is open for two meals on Friday, but next week we will open for meals on Monday as well. We have received such an incredible response, both from those in need and those eager to help, that we were able to open up on a second day without delay. This year our community celebrated Passover together throughout the city of Jerusalem! Our community groups hosted Passover Seder meals together, welcoming guests from the congregation and from around the world.
We love seeing our congregation come together to learn, fellowship and celebrate. Lately, we have seen this happen in a variety of ways! Our community groups began just a couple of months ago and are already growing.
Our community celebrated Hanukkah together with games, crafts and our annual talent show! This past Tuesday, while adults took part in a dreidel "Spin-Off" or the "Best Joke" contest, kids were able to paint crafts and play their own games, such "Pin the Flame on the Hanukiah." At the end of the evening, everyone gathered to enjoy the annual talent show, plus hear the "best joke" winner and cheer on the finalists in the dreidel spin-off!
