Celebrating Israel

While Israel celebrated its 59th birthday this April, our community joined in and headed out to Jerusalem’s Sacher Park. It is a custom in this nation, that families go out to parks during holidays for time of fun and barbecue.
It was definitely time of bonding for the whole congregation as we ate and played games, and the leadership team showed how humble they could be by participating in silly relays involving m&m chocolates and whipped cream, 3-legged races and water balloons.

As we thank God for Israel’s independence we are also thankful to Him, that we can openly gather outdoors among Israelis, sharing His love for them through our actions of love.
