Jerusalem Is Being Rebuilt!
Jerusalem is being rebuilt in front of our eyes. The Lord is bringing to pass the prophesies of old in the days we are living. He is regathering His people to their land. Like in the days of Nehemiah the walls of the city that have lain broken and covered in dust, are being renewed, the dust is being blown away. We are moving closer to the days in which we will see Jerusalem be made a Praise in the Earth.
The challenges continue to exist in many ways even as in the age Nehemiah walked these streets and had to deal with Sanballat and Tobiah who tried to hinder the work that God had begun. The city today is under attack by negative forces led by Satan. It is expressed through terrorism, world pride events, greed, and jealousy, etc. Psalm 2:1 “Why do the nations rage, and the peoples meditate on a vain thing? But God answers that He has already placed His King on His holy hill, in Zion.” Yet none of this catches our Awesome God by surprise.
Those of us who have the privilege to live and work in this city need to do all we can to pass on the message that God has not forsaken this city, on the contrary, He is setting His face to show favor to the city. It would be good for us all to learn Hebrew to the best of our ability as we are called first to Israel and then to the Nations. When we speak to a fellow Jerusalemite in Hebrew we express care and make a clear statement of our belief in the rebuilding that God is doing in this city. Even this ancient language has been dusted off and is being used for the rebuilding of this great city. You may want to consider joining your neighborhood Mishmar Ezrachi (neighborhood watch) where you can practically serve as a watchman on the walls around your homes. Isaiah 62:6-7. Many of you can find your place on the walls of the PAVILION Prayer Tower, where you will find many prayer opportunities throughout the day and even some during the night. As we celebrate the feasts of God, given to His people Israel, let us explain the faithfulness of God to all generations. Even as the seasons do not change so our God is faithful and does not change. He brings to pass His promises for this city and her residents.
A great multitude in our city does not feel nor see this hope and future, that is revealed through the scriptures. They cannot see God’s hand moving and repairing the breeches in the wall. They are overwhelmed by the threats of the Nations. Will we speak words of encouragement to them that will provoke them to search the scriptures and see that The God of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps! Let us be careful that we not give a bad report to our neighbors about that Land, and may we beware lest a rumor be heard on our lips to the Jewish people in the Golah (Exile), that would hinder them from desiring to return to this land of promise and take their place on the walls as God rebuilds this city. This is a very exciting time to live in this city. Let us rally the troops as we hear the sound of the Shofar.
Nehemiah 4:19 – 20 “And I said to the great ones and the chiefs and the rest of the people, the work is great and widely spaced and we are far away from one another on the wall: Wherever you may be when the Shofar is sounded, come here to us; our God will be fighting for us.”
Aloh Naaleh (Let us arise and go up)
