Even an Olympic runner needs to stop and catch his breath once in a while. Forward progress can’t be sustained without a pause – whether a pause to refresh or a pause to reflect.

We’ve been making forward progress. By His grace, God has expanded the reach of our ministry and expanded the number of people engaged in ministry. God has increased the quality of our ministry facilities. God has widened our sphere of relationship in Jerusalem and beyond.

Yet a coach sometimes has to say to his team: “enough fancy new plays, now let’s go back over the fundamentals of the game.”

Our new teaching series, “BACK 2 ACTS II” is designed to take us back to the fundamentals. It’s time to pause, to get refreshed and to reflect on what it means to be a true messianic community.

To progress further in our quest to “provoke Israel to jealousy” (Romans 11:11) we are going back to study the fundamentals of what made the first congregation in Jerusalem so effective, that “the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

Here’s how you can make the most of BACK 2 ACTS II:

• Make it a priority to be at every Sunday evening service. Each week the teaching is focused on a different characteristic of the first Jerusalem congregation described in Acts 2:42-47.
• Have your kids involved in the children and youth activities. They are following the same series as the adults.
• Join a home group in your area on an evening that fits your schedule. In a home environment there is more time to grow deeper in the Word and grow deeper in relationship with others.
• Join us for Community Night at 5:30 PM each Wednesday at the Pavilion where we will enjoy a meal together, dialogue around the table concerning what we learned on the previous Sunday, and pray for one another.
